Digital display of speedometer, odometer, and Touch Shift gear/mode selection. Electronic analog tachometer and fuel gauge.
Multifunction display in instrument cluster, scrolled via steering-wheel controls to operate and display various menus and vehicle features: outside temperature indicator; digital speedometer, Maintenance System (see below), and engine oil-level check; radio station, 6-disc CD changer, iPod playlist/track (with accessory iPod Integration Kit), and SIRIUS Satellite Radio; hard-drive-based navigation system route guidance; vehicle reminder and message indicator; driver-programmable settings for instruments, lighting, and vehicle and convenience features; trip computer (elapsed time, fuel consumption, and distance to empty); and Distronic Plus adaptive cruise control settings.1
Distronic PLUS: With new and enhanced features, Distronic Adaptive Cruise Control has become Distronic Plus. This optional system uses two onboard radar systems to distance you from moving vehicles ahead. It offers true stop-and-go functionality by braking the vehicle to a complete stop or automatically adjusting the throttle up to 125 mph.
Parking Guidance: Utilizing the DISTRONIC PLUS sensors, the radar-based Parking Guidance system assists the driver by identifying parallel curbside parking spaces and showing steering directions into the space in the multifunction display. An audible warning tone provides further assistance. The display shows a stylized bird's-eye view of the parking space and the vehicle's current position. The steering directions are presented in the form of lines showing the ideal and actual path into the parking space, helping to guide the steering wheel turns until the two paths coincide.2
Blind Spot Assist: Utilizing the DISTRONIC PLUS sensors, the radar-based Blind Spot Assist helps to aid the driver when changing lanes by monitoring the blind spot of the exterior mirror. A signal appears on the display in the respective mirror, when another vehicle is located in this zone.2
Mercedes-Benz Maintenance System Plus displays distance remaining to next basic maintenance service, indicates type of service due, and provides automatic reminder feature when service interval draws near. System also monitors brake-pad wear.
Onboard tire-pressure monitoring system allows driver to check
the inflation pressure of all four mounted tires via the
multifunction display.
